My family took an unusual holiday break this June and visited a kelong off Pulau Sibu, Kota Tinggi. You must like fishing to stay on this kelong because everything is designed to make fishing hassle free and fun.
You can sleep in your bed and watch your lines at the same time!
You can leave your lines at any spot unguarded or even overnight!
Dinning area is right beside your beds! The food is not fantastic but edible.
Common wash area with clean water. The white taps dispense sea water.
Communal living at its best - huge double-decker bed for 9 adults!
Privacy... nobody cares. Fishing is the main attraction here.
My kids put me to shame. They caught a total of 81 fish!
This fish gave my son a good fight!
And yes... you can even catch fish upside down!The kelong provides 5 meals a day, unlimited water, tea, coffee, biscuits, ice and 'sotongs' (baits) as well! Furthermore, the kelong operator will pick you up in an air-conditioned bus from Singapore.
The 3-day package costs RM$300 per adult. Money well spent because it is 100 percent undiluted fun!
